What is mobilizing? What is stretching? Is there a difference? The answer is YES, there is most definitely a difference. Mobilizing is essentially ungluing our muscles that have become so bound together they can no longer move independently of one other. This results in inhibited joint movement, loss of performance, joint capsule restriction, and more. Stretching is lengthening short and tight muscles. Without the ability of our muscles to glide smoothly, stretching results in trying to stretch a brick compared to a rubber band. Our joints and muscles are made to move, let’s allow them to do their job.
