Success inside the gym and out!

As a trainer, what I love to hear most are the successes that our clients have OUTSIDE of the gym.  We get to see improvements when you work out—but what is truly satisfying is to know that your life—the other 23 hours of your day—has been impacted in positive way too.

Heather took part in our On-Ramp program last summer and then started consistently coming to classes shortly after.  Heather is a US Masters Swimmer and she has swum competitively for 17 years. 
In addition to kicking ass IN the gym, Heather is kicking it in the pool in a major way.  Fellow swimmers—you will appreciate some of improvements Heather has posted since starting Cross Fit:
• Over a full minute off both her 800 (that is 32 laps!) and her 1500 times.
• A second and a half from her 50 M time, from 29.17 to 27 seconds…which is tough to do in a short race!
• And a combine total of 30 seconds off of three other events.
What is outstanding about these achievements is that Heather has significantly reduced her time spent in the pool (20,000 yards per month).  And—she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2006.  She spent the following year in and out of the hospital, but since starting Cross Fit and removing gluten from her diet-- she hasn’t had to see her neurologist once.

Quality food, good sleep, short but intense exercise = Success in and OUT of the gym.
