Holiday stuff…and STRETCH YOUR CALVES!

If your squat needs improvement you can bet your heel cords are at the root of the problem.  Stretch your calves over the Thanksgiving holiday.  Actually, you can even periodically stretch them while making Truffled Sweet potatoes for your family!

This yummy recipe is courtesy of Melissa Friedland’s friend Jordan Russell. The brown sugar can (should) be omitted, but the truffle oil is a MUST!  Enjoy!
Truffled Sweet Potatoes
Yield: 10 Servings
3# Sweet potatoes
3# Yams
¼ cup dark brown sugar
½ cup heavy cream
½ cup butter
Fresh thyme
White Truffle Oil to taste
S+P To taste

Roast potatoes and yams in 400 degree oven for 30 minutes or until fork tender. Peel and mash with cream, butter, thyme and brown sugar. Season with salt and pepper, finish with truffle oil.
