A photo of fueling performance

I’ve been to many athletic events in my life where athletes are chugging down Gatorade and other such drinks and eating chips, bagels and power bars to “fuel.” It was quite the opposite (stunningly so) this past weekend in Portland.  At least half of the lifters in attendance brought their own lunch and there were no processed foods in sight!  Even a young high school kid from Washington pulled out his tupperware of salad with boiled egg and tons of veggies!  This photo summed it up…

These two dudes were just casually chomping their broccoli and asparagus...how awesome is that?  By the way...when you eat right you DO perform better.  Congrats to Melissa for her new pr of 5 consecutive pullups tonight!  She has been doing the Zone and it’s paying off.
