Need a simple breakfast idea? I’m sure to those who are getting tired of eggs, this will be a nice change! Just a reminder: It is OK to have meat and vegetables for breakfast!!! Especially when it makes your life easier by creating meals for the rest of the week. This was originally from Andy D. (yes, he actually has a few recipes of his own!), but I have made a few modifications.

We are in the peak of tomato season! One of my favorite ways to enjoy tomatoes in the ‘ol days was to make a tasty BLT w/ Avocado. Here’s a way to enjoy this classic flavor combo...paleo friendly!

Ever wonder what the heck you should be frying your eggs in, or basting your pork loins with? I’m sure most of you have heard us trainers talk about the benefits of olive oil, and although the stuff is amazing, tasty, and full of many health benefits, there is a great debate on the web as to whether or not the oil should be brought to high temperatures.

Being dairy free AND indulging in the classic summer time treat...ICE CREAM, can be tricky! I’ve been playing around with making homemade coconut ice cream with just coconut milk and no other dairy products. The beauty is that the recipe is really quite simple, and the result is delicious and completely satisfies my craving! Check out my favorite recipe so far!

Pesto is an amazing sauce; it makes anything taste good from scrambled eggs to salad – so I have been working on a decent paleo version. Here is my pesto sauce, which in my humble opinion is better than most pesto sauces which are laden with Parmesan – and it’s super easy to put together.
Where’s the beef?

The cows finally came home! Last Friday, Striking A Livestock made a beef delivery for several of our clients who ordered a grass fed cow. The beef came in a variety of cuts, labeled, frozen...and ready to cram into your freezer. My share barely fit...but I’m going to be eating well for several months! If you are interested in making an order...check out the website or email .
Abundance of Seasonal veggies???

Clearly--we are encouraging the consumption of vegetables! We’re also pretty excited when you purchase those veggies locally. However, the pro and con of eating seasonally is that you may end up with an abundance of one vegetable! You know how it goes....at the beginning of the season you can’t wait to dig into the first crop of tomatoes...and all of the sudden you are up to your ears in juicy red goodness.

I had no idea when I showed up on Sunday to help my mom box up the processed pork, that I would end up getting a workout as well!
