In Folsom this last weekend, on Sunday, Shawn Crossley took on his second ever triathlon. Most of you know (or would recognize) Shawn as the guy always hiding out over in the O-lifting corner. This weekend he went a different route and did great!
With an overall time time of 3 hours 22 minutes, he crushed his previous tri time by 32 minutes! Not too shabby for a guy who just lifts heavy things! 🙂 Shawn’s swim was 29 mins (1500 meters), his bike was 1 hour 30 mins (40k), and his run was 1 hour 15 mins (10k).
Julie Crossley, Shawn’s wife, was kind enough to give me some pictures of Shawn at some of his past tri. She said this time she was too caught up in the moment to think about taking pictures. Julie said “To say I’m a proud wife is an understatement …. just watching him made me ready for a nap!”. HA! Well, hopefully you got that nap in Julie… Shawn on the other hand was so pumped about the event he’s already talking about next year.
Congrats Shawn, we’re all so proud of you!
