PAIN

In the wake of our NorCal Pound For Pound Challenge, and our Paleo Challenge, I’m reminded of a quote by one of my old instructors: “Growth is in discomfort. So, tomorrow, like today was, is a new day, with new opportunities for growth. Growth is unlimited. The limits that exist are put there by us because growth is also scary. Growth is uncomfortable. Why “Max”?

Whether it’s my client’s training or my own, I believe in being MINDFUL of one’s actions, and PURPOSEFUL in one’s actions. In my mind, goal setting is a must. You make a goal, create a plan, and then follow the plan (provided it’s working) until you reach your goal. Adjustments may be made along the way, but the formula is still the same. Now, how do you know if the...

2013, A New You!

Hello NorCal, Welcome to January 2013.  We made it even with the Mayan calendar ending!  Every year clients, myself, and other people set goals for themselves.  Time and time again many of those people don’t even come close to their goals (myself included).  This happens for many reasons and I am going to tell you why. Everyone can set goals about things they want to accomplish, but...

How to Set a New Year’s Resolution

“This year I am going to lose weight.”  ”This year I am going to save money.”  ”This year I am going to work less.”  ”This year I am going to volunteer more.” Any of those sound familiar?  Did you live up to those statements last year, or the year before, or the year before that?  From my own experience and from talking to others, most often we...

On Monday, the day before Christmas, we had LIFT at 9 AM and All Levels at 12 PM.  Both classes were fantastic and I had the pleasure of coaching both!  We had tons of fun, and we even drew our own Christmas tree on the board.  Both classes and PT clients got to draw their own ornament on the tree!  It was awesome to see what people came up with.  Also, for LIFT, the first few ornaments were...
