About Chrissy

Chrissy Gower has been involved in the CrossFit NorCal community for over five years. She graduated from CSU, Chico with a degree in Liberal Studies and then went on to earn a Masters Degree in Education as well as a teaching credential. In addition to Chrissy’s well rounded education she has also been a competitive athlete and was a member of the Chico State women’s waterski team from 1999-2000. After years of seeing and feeling the positive impact that CrossFit has had on her life Chrissy chose to make a career change to personal fitness training. Chrissy can help you to improve any element of your fitness, be it body composition, strength, flexibility or cardiovascular endurance. She is a Certified CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and a Certified CrossFit Kids Coach.

Just a quick little reminder that the 10am class this morning is cancelled. We will be testing for Level 1 at 10am. We have two new On Ramps scheduled to starting in the next few weeks. Starting April 23rd we will start an On Ramp that will meet at 7am on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays for four consecutive weeks. You might remember a post I did a while back asking for support for our fellow member Jerrad Fisher. Jerrad has been trying to get the city council to approve his obstacle course/run event in our very own Bidwell Park. On Tuesday, April 16th at 6pm the council will be revisiting this topic again. Monday evening I had the pleasure of coaching the level 1 class. I was happy that I finally got to meet both Jill and her husband Chris and I was even more excited to celebrate Jill’s birthday in the level 1 class. It started as group of 28 individuals who were wanting a little extra motivation and accountability through the holidays. Then there were 16 who weighed in at the completion of the challenge. All 16 individuals made great changes. From the 16 the trainers narrowed it down to the top 3 who made the most significant changes utilizing the data we collected and the before/after photos.
