6 Minute Meal

We all have those days that we just don’t want to cook anything, we don’t want to leave the house to go out, and we don’t want to go spend money eating out (not to mention risk getting a wheat dose).  This is a very tasty, easy, fast meal that is perfect for situations like this.  I actually timed myself from start to finish and it took 6 minutes total from starting the oil to setting it on the table.

Ahi Tuna Steaks with green salad

– Ahi Tuna Steaks (we used Trader Joes Marinated Ahi Tuna Steaks)

– 1 tsp Olive Oil

*Heat oil (coconut or olive) in pan on medium to medium high heat

*Take thawed steaks out of the packaged and sear for 1.5 minutes or so on each side (more or less depending on how rare/cooked you want it

Serve with veggies of choice.  We had a simple green salad:

-Greens of choice

-Sliced Carrots

-Diced Tomatoes

-Sliced Mushrooms

-Diced Avocado

-Slivered Almonds

Combine all ingredients and top with olive oil and balsamic vinegar
